Dubai – Jan 8th, 2013:

The Dubai Autism Center (DAC) welcomed Padma Shri Pankaj Udhas, the Indian legendary ghazal singer, who came to visit the Center and express his strong support to the Autism cause.

Sara Baker, Head of Community Service Unit at the Dubai Autism Center, received the guest and accompanied him in a tour to the various facilities at the Centre where he had the opportunity to spend time with the children.

Udhas was also briefed by Hayula Mourad, Head of Business Support and Communication Unit, on the Autism disorder, DAC’s Operation and the Center’s future plans that includes the completion of a new purpose build facility that will cater for the increasing number of students.

Sara Baker said: “the visit reflects Udhas’s concern about individuals with Autism. I am impressed by his keenness to understand and find out more about the disorder. He has left a lasting impression on all staff members and his commitment to humanitarian initiatives was touching.”

Baker stressed the importance of the support Dubai Autism Centre gets from its partners and the involvement of the community in achieving its goals. She reiterated that DAC main focus is on providing quality educational services in line with the highest international standards
